A fairytalelike palace for guestsSurrounded by ancient trees, this traditional country seat is perched on the hills by the river Elbe betwen Dresden's old town and the suburb of "Weisser Hirsch" and offers the unrivalled charm of privacy.
The buildings owner was the wholesale merchant and patron Johann Suchay, who had Schloss Eckberg built in the "Tudor Style" between 1859 and 1861 by the Dresden architect Christian friedrich Arnold. Arnold was one of the most prominent followers of Gottfried Semper, the creator of Dresden's opera house, today well known as the Semper Opera House. After an eventful history, the Munich Argenta group acquired the estate in 1994 and had buildings and gardens thoroughly renovated and redesigned as a luxury hotel to plans by the Italien interior designer Danilo Silvestrin.
